FAke nEW

According to the current president Donald J. Trump he is going to put an end to “Fake News”. Fake News is a problem in the United States because people in social only follow what they like to believe in with policies and other news. Some of the reports the write this “Fake News” do it for celerity or quick money. Some people the “Fake New” just incite like the man who shot up the pizza place because of “Fake News”. “On Sunday afternoon, a 28-year-old man walked into a Washington, D.C. ping-pong bar and pizzeria. He was carrying an AR-15 assault rifle – hardly standard-issue hardware for a round of table tennis. He fired one or more shots, as people fled Comet Ping Pong, before surrendering to police officers. No one was injured.” (PBS)

“But here’s where problem lies with fake news and the human mind. Our brains have a finite capacity for processing information and for remembering, so our minds make value judgments about what to keep. Humor tips the scales in favor of being remembered and recalled, even when counterarguments are strong.” (PBS). The reason peoples can’t brain doesn’t tell it’s “Fake News” because our brain doesn’t understand sarcasm written. A recent assay showed that “Their attempts at a deception detector yielded a 63 percent success rate, which is better than the human ability to spot lies — 54 percent on average” (PBS).

“Harris started by crafting the headline: “BREAKING: ‘Tens of thousands’ of fraudulent Clinton votes found in Ohio warehouse,” according to The New York Times, which broke the story on Wednesday about what Harris had done” (Charlotte Observer). Harris is the reporter who wrote the “Fake News” about the ten of thousands of fraudulent Clinton vote founded in a warehouse in Ohio. Harris later on admitted that the reason he wrote the “Fake News” was because of financial gain. He was try to pay back  some student debts.

“Bad information has always lived online. Before fake news, there were electronic message boards where people shared conspiracy theories and emails instructing you to FORWARD THIS TO EVERYONE YOU KNOW!!! Before the computer, there were anonymous pamphlets and chain letters sent through the mail.” (politifact). When people start solicitous about “Fake News” it becomes an issue people start believing it. “Fake News” is a exigent matter and we as people living in the United States is something we need to be perturb about so innocent people won’t get hurt like in the pizzeria shooting were a man thought a human trafficing was going on.

Undocumented Teens

The issue/problem that so many people in America have is the problem of not being an undocumented. Living in fear and always looking over their shoulders like someone is watching them all the time. This is the case with many families in the US scared that one day ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) agent show up to there house and take parents, grandparents, brothers, sisters, etc, from there house to be deported back to their home countries some people have lives her so long that they don’t even know where they actually came from they have only known the United States of America.

“I didn’t decide to come here, and many times I wished I hadn’t come, because of all the pressure and the feeling of having no freedom at all and not being able to go anywhere or have the same future as the rest of my friends, or go to the same schools — having to work twice as hard just to go to a two-year college,” (Sara Navarro). Unlike her friend from school she didn’t have the opportunities like them she couldn’t go out like them because we was undocumented and was living in fear that ICE would catch up with her and deport her to Honduras. She didn’t have privilege to get student loans or financial aid because she is not a US citizen but thanks to Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) a program that help undocumented  underage kids go not to be deported and get an education after high school but the only thing is that she can not be received scholarship, Student loans, or financial aid.
The reason I picked this article was because I can relate to this people after all even in my own family I have undocumented cousin, and uncles in the same situation that they are in constant fear of being deported back to Mexico. Even though most of my family was either born a citizen or married a citizen and now how have green card and etc, before they were citizen they lived in fear of ICE they were always looking over there shoulder. They never really enjoined themselves because they were so paranoid of immigration catching them and send them back to Mexico. Even some of them still are undocumented they are still trying to become citizen so they can better themselves and further their education.

Laws pull one undocumented family in many directions
